Bene - Youth (Tower Hamlets) Take Back Control
Take Back Control Hackney (Youth) will take place on the 22nd of April at the
35-47 Bethnal Green Road,
London E1 6LA
It will be a day of workshops, talks, food and music which will bring together leave and remain voters, make sense of the Brexit negotiations and discuss how voters can take back control from economic elites and establishment politicians.
Highlights: Organised by young people from Demand the Impossible and aimed at under 30s, this event will host Guardian journalist Abi Wilkinson and Ash Sakar from Novara Media discussing fake news and the state of the media; the rapper and spoken word artist Liv Wynter speaking on feminism in the 21st century alongside interactive sessions on mental health & capitalism, reclaiming education and taking back control of space + more coming soon

"We are often left out of the important conversations that impact heavily on us, leaving us alienated and powerless. But amidst the disinterest felt amongst some there is also an energy arising. There is a growing number of us that are passionate and motivated to take back control of our lives and the role that we play in politics"
